For too long our town projects have remained either incomplete or not a priority. CVC’s new council in Sept 2024 and the Executive need to commit to being accountable to delivering these projects.
Maclean is due credit for the size of the population of the LGA that it in fact services, not the size of the population that live within the town limits. Returning Maclean to the premium town of the Lower Clarence given it’s proximity to the freeway - a gateway to the CV- will only provide benefit to the whole region.
There is no Maclean CBD Strategy or Economic Development Plan. We have limited success in liaising with Council and obtaining correct information. Previous commitment to a quarterly meeting must be maintained by Council and Maclean District Business Chamber.

The Chamber is administered by a board of management that meets monthly to discuss issues that affect the business community and to develop strategies to best contribute to the economic growth of our Town.
